Trelawny man charged with rape at ‘gunpoint’ Loop Jamaica

Forty-three-year-old Damion Mais of Water Lane, Falmouth in Trelawny was charged with rape following an incident in Rock district in the parish on Monday, March 18.

According to reports from the Falmouth police, at approximately 5pm, Mais allegedly approached a woman, brandished what appeared to be a gun, and forced her into a secluded area, where he sexually assaulted her.

On April 1, Mais was pointed out to the police in the town of Falmouth, and was taken into custody.

He is scheduled to appear in the Trelawny Parish Court on Friday, April 12.
