The driver of a Toyota Probox motor car who was captured in a now-viral video breaking the car window of another motorist following a two-vehicle collision in the Corporate Area on Friday has been arrested.
He is 37-year-old Peter Bramwell of a Kingston address.
Bramwell is now facing several charges and has been labelled as an “illegal taxi operator” by the police.
According Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Gary McKenzie, Bramwell, who was driving the Toyota Probox motor car, was involved in a collision with the driver of a Pajero on or about 6pm on April 26, at a section of Half-Way Tree Road in the vicinity of the National Baking Company.
Snippets of what happened next was captured on video by a passenger travelling in the Pajero.
In the video, the Bramwell is seen breaking the other motorist’s car window and seemingly attempting to inflict wounds to the driver.
Bramwell is now facing charges of disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property, and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The police disclosed, too, that Bramwell has four traffic warrants and 61 outstanding tickets.
ACP McKenzie is reminding the public that they should allow for due process after a traffic accident.
