The delay in tabling a report from the Integrity Commission about the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) led to a walkout of Parliament by Opposition members yesterday.
The matter has become a contentious one with the Opposition raising concern that the report is of public interest.
The Government has argued that the report was not yet tabled as the matter is before the court and that making it public would jeopardise the case citing the matter involving Ian Hayles as an example.
However, Opposition Leader Mark Golding rejected that claim.
Mr. Golding demanded that the FLA report be tabled.
In response, Leader of Government Business in the Lower House Floyd Green explained that the Parliament has the right to make a decision about the tabling of reports on issues that are before the court.
Green countered that there is no suppression or undermining.
Golding said Green was misleading the House and repeated the demand.
When this was not met the Opposition members left the House.
They held a press briefing shortly after and reiterated their concerns
