Stanley Motta registers consecutive trading gains Loop Jamaica

Stanley Motta, KLE Group and Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances (CFF) led gains on Tuesday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

SML gained 14 per cent to close at $6.12, followed by KLE up 10 per cent to $2.17, and CFF up 7.5 per cent to $1.70.

On the other hand, the top declining stocks were Paramount Trading down 13 per cent to $1.27, QWI Investments down 11 per cent to $0.66 and Stationery and Office Supplies down 6.5 per cent to $1.60.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,789.14 points (0.54 per cent) to close at 335,481.81 points and the volume traded amounted to 37,989,571 valued at $150,166,330.23.

The JSE Main Index advanced by 1,606.70 points (0.50 %) to close at 322,033.61 points and the volume traded amounted to 17,048,881 valued at $114,813,044.24.

The Junior Market Index advanced by 35.72 points (0.94 %) to close at 3,841.69 points and the volume traded amounted to 20,940,690 valued at $35,353,285.99.

The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 3.25 points (1.37 %) to close at 240.86 points and the volume traded amounted to 82,573 valued at $14,854.70.

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 119 stocks of which 50 advanced, 41 declined and 28 traded firm.

Volume leaders were One Great Studio, Wigton Windfarm and Sagicor Select Funds.
